Video game technology has traditionally focused on entertainment for kids. Now, there are a number of video games emerging that are teaching kids and adults how to exercise and get into physical and spiritual balance. Deepak Chopra, the famous promoter of alternative medicine and spirituality, is partnering with video game studio THQ to create a game using motion sensing technology like the Xbox 360 Kinect.

The game is called "Leela", which is Sanskrit for "play", and it will guide players through meditation exercises. There are seven different exercises in the game which are based on the seven "chakras." For those not familiar, chakras are points on the body which are energy centers in eastern spirituality. The game features a soothing musical soundtrack as it guides players to control graphics onscreen using their hand and body motions. There are different levels of difficulty to the exercises, but unlike many other games there is no final score or ranking systems. The goal was to create a game which was an accurate representation of Chopra's teachings.
